Spring Garden Engagement | Rome, GA Photographer | Nancy + Mike

Nancy came bursting into my life at a time when I needed her vibrant, radiant friendship the most. What started out as two relative strangers taking horse back riding lessons together my Junior year of high school, quickly turned into a friendship that has lasted well over a decade. It’s hard to remember a time in high school when she wasn’t my best friend and there hasn’t been a time in all of the years since when catching up with Nancy over holidays and visits home wasn’t like stepping right back into those carefree years. When Nancy and Mike got engaged earlier this year, I couldn’t be happier for them. Well, until she asked me to photograph their engagement photos that is!

I always give my couples the first choice over location for their photos and Nancy already had a vision. She was dreaming of a romantic shoot in the gardens of her grandparents home. A home that she practically grew up in, celebrating holidays and surrounded by family. From the moment I stepped out of the car, I was back in those good ole days. With a hug from her mom, we got to work. Can I just say, these two ROCKED IT!! I mean, look at them. I feel like we really brought Nancy’s engagement photo dreams to life. And we laughed. A lot. These two honestly compliment each other so well and just like always, we had a blast! I love how easy they are together, how genuine their playful love is for each other. They are complete naturals and capturing this exciting season for them was such an honor. I cannot believe Nancy and Mike will be married in just 6 short months!! I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate big for their big day!!
