Classic and Romantic. A Fairytale Wedding. The Perfect Day. All of these could be used to describe Saturday at West Milford Farm with Ben, Emily and their closest friends and family. I wasn’t the only one who worried that this day wouldn’t happen as planned. After all, this wasn’t supposed to be my first 2020 wedding but it was. We have been living in a very uncertain world and let me just say that the magic of this day was the perfect escape from all of the negative that’s been happening around us.

I loved Ben and Emily from the moment we met last year at their engagement session. These two are so sweet, so genuine and so clearly in love with each other. The guest list was small, the ceremony sweet and intimate, and yet I don’t know if I’ve ever felt such a powerful outpouring of love for a couple than I did last weekend. From the giddy excitement of these sweet bridesmaids when it was time to see Emily in her dress for the first time, to the heartfelt words from both of their families at the reception, I could physically feel the emotion at every turn. I know my eyes got misty more than a few times throughout the day and now I can’t even blame it on pregnancy hormones!

Emily & Ben, thank you! Thank you choosing me to capture your perfect day, for welcoming me in with open arms like an old friend! You two are amazing and I could not have dreamed up a more perfect kick off to wedding season 2020!!
