This time last year, I already knew 2020 would turn MY world upside down, I just had no idea it would turn THE world upside down. Just 11 days into the year, we welcomed our baby girl and so I knew it would be a year of adjustments and challenges and a “new normal.” But then “2020 happened” and no one saw that coming! Suddenly, nothing was certain, reality shifted in ways we never could have imagined and I worried that the year I had planned wouldn’t look anything like any of us planned. And it didn’t. But despite a world wide pandemic, huge shifts in plans and so much loss and grief … Joy wasn’t canceled.
I look back at these moments and I can’t help but look at 2020 with anything but gratitude. Despite everything, it was a beautiful year full of SO MUCH LOVE. I am so thankful for each and every one of my clients that put their memories in my hands, when they mattered most, and gave me a truly incredible year. It felt like uncharted territory almost everyday but I can honestly say, I have never felt so much love as I did on each wedding day this year. At each engagement session. Each time I captured a new mama. Joy brought us through and I choose to believe it will brighten our days ahead in 2021.
