Well it’s taken me a minute to get this gorgeous engagement session up on the blog. But I have to say, this one is a little extra special! You see, I didn’t just meet Cori as a Bride-to-Be. I’ve actually kind of watched her grow up! From a 12 year old in her older sister’s dorm room across the hall from mine, to a stunning bride 16 years later who’s wedding I’m over the moon about photographing next year!! I remember when Jake entered the scene, thinking, wow Cori is really all grown up now! It’s like she went from high school to adult in about a minute!
A few months ago, when Cori contacted me about photographing their wedding, I was SO excited. I know this will be one for the books. But also it’s just feels so special. This sweet family means a lot to me already and now even more so! Cori is a bride who knows exactly what she wants and when she suggested an engagement session in their college town, I was 100% down! Not only is it a great opportunity to shoot somewhere new but I love when couples pick a spot that has sentimental meaning to their relationship. For Cori and Jake, both UGA grads, this is where it all began. A few weeks ago, we spent a Sunday evening exploring all of their favorite spots. From a favorite brewery, Creature Comforts, to the spot where they met for the first time, to some sweet little tucked away corners of UGA’s campus…it was a magical spring session!
I cannot wait to get these two married next June in what I am sure will be the event of the summer!
