All wedding days are memorable, and then there are wedding days like Hannah and Gabriel’s, a celebration that tells a story years in the making.
Exactly one year before this day, I met these two as they walked out of the courthouse after their civil ceremony. I had the honor of photographing that first wedding day, knowing a year later we would get to celebrate all over again! Their wedding day and first anniversary became one unforgettable celebration, making this story even more meaningful.
The day began at one of the most sentimental places to their story, Darlington School in Rome, Georgia, where Hannah and Gabe first met and their relationship began years earlier. Hannah spent the morning getting ready at the beautiful Home on the Hill before the two shared a sweet First Look in front of Morris Chapel. It was the perfect setting to reflect on where their story started before stepping into the next chapter together.
Their wedding ceremony took place during a beautiful Catholic Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Rome, where they were surrounded by the love and support of their family and friends. Afterward, everyone gathered at Coosa Country Club for an evening filled with heartfelt toasts, joyful celebration, and a packed dance floor. From beginning to end, the day felt relaxed, intentional, and full of genuine joy.
Being invited to document not one, but two wedding days for the same couple is something I’ll never take for granted. Watching Hannah and Gabriel celebrate their marriage one year after saying “I do” at the courthouse was such a beautiful reminder that there is no one right way to begin forever. Their story is uniquely theirs, and it was such an honor to preserve every chapter of it.
Hannah and Gabe, thank you for trusting me with these incredible memories. It has truly been a joy getting to know you both, and I’m so grateful to have been welcomed into such a meaningful season of your lives.
