It’s that time of the year, friends! SENIORS!! Senior sessions are some of my absolute favorites to shoot. The entire goal of a senior portrait session is to really capture and showcase the unique personality of each rising senior at this particular point in their lives. It’s a special time. It’s an exciting time. I love meeting these young adults as they are navigating this time, right on the brink of the next chapter. It’s a time that I hope my seniors look back on fondly years from now, and remember the feelings not only of excitement and expectation but also the feeling of really starting to become their own independent person.
This young lady was awesome. I could tell from our initial conversations that she had a sweet soul and a natural excitement for life. Meeting her in person only reassured those thoughts! Kaitlyn, an upcoming senior in the Trion High School Class of 2019, was a joy to meet and work with. I love when my seniors get so excited for their session! I try to ask them to bring along something to their session that might be a representation of their upcoming time as a senior. I absolutely loved the classic, traditional touch that Kaitlyn’s Letterman jacket added to her session. Between her involvement with 4-H, her church and a local daycare, she pretty much does it all! Girl, I know you are headed for awesome things! Have the best senior year and take the time to look around and appreciate where you are because you’ll be on to the next thing before you know it.
Don’t forget, the time for senior sessions is the summer BEFORE senior year. Class of 2019, that’s right now! This time will be gone in a flash and it’s well worth documenting. If you are an upcoming senior or the parent of one, let’s talk about customizing a session to bring this chapter of your story to life and create something that you can all look back on for years to come!
