This was one of those sessions that reminds me why engagement sessions are so important and so fun! 90% of the time, when I book a wedding, I communicate solely with the bride during the booking and planning process. If it weren’t for the engagement session, I probably wouldn’t meet the groom until the wedding day. Wedding days inevitably bring on added stress and chaos all while trying to get used to me (this stranger hanging around all day) and my camera right in the middle of it all! Instead, I use the engagement session to meet my couples, interact with them and get them comfortable with my shooting and posing style and ME, in a relaxed and fun setting! That way, when I arrive on the wedding day it feels like I’m a friend, there to celebrate the day with everyone else!
Shane and Jennifer brought the most bubbly, sweet energy to their engagement session on Tuesday! They are just two genuinely kind people who are completely head over heels for each other and it shows. The giggles started almost immediately and their love for each other was so visible throughout the entire session! It didn’t hurt that we had a nice, quiet location, awesome views and a really gorgeous sunset to work with! Plus, I knew this was going to be a great session from the moment I saw the Auburn logos on Shane’s car! War Eagle! They happily braved the sticky, humid evening, with me and never complained when I asked for just one more shot. About 15 times! It was completely worth the late dinner time and mosquito and ant bites for these two! I had so much fun hanging out with them and absolutely cannot wait for next month to photograph their special day!
Enjoy these two lovebirds this week and stay tuned! You’ll be seeing them again so soon! Fall wedding season is upon us and I am beyond excited for the next two months and the couples I get to work with and serve on their most unforgettable day!
