We were up before the sun with enough bags and gear packed to suggest we were headed on vacation. I knew the drive north would work wonders to calm any lingering jitters I had about the wedding day to kick off my fall season. I didn’t realize at that point that the only thing I would really need was to drive onto the gorgeous venue property. Laura and Jerry were married on the first official day of fall in an intimate, lakeside ceremony in Kingston, TN. And it was amazing! From the moment we turned into Grace Point Retreat Center I was in awe of the peaceful beauty of the property.
Wedding days often come with a mix of hectic chaos and stress but this day was far from any of those things. From the moment we arrived, I felt so at home. It was so calm and so quiet as we pulled up to the little chapel overlooking the lake and got to work. I like to start my wedding day photographing details. I give myself plenty of time because this is one of my favorite parts of the day. The quiet before the hustle and bustle of the rest of the day that also sets the tone for the wedding’s theme. Laura and her planner did not disappoint with all of the gorgeous touches from floral flowing lanterns to the perfect fall themed invitation suite and seed pack guest favors encouraging all of their loved ones to “Let Love Grow,” complements of the talented Paper Made Lovely.
Let me just say, if all bride and groom portraits could happen along the banks of a beautiful, Tennessee mountain lake, I wouldn’t complain one bit! The views were killer, the breeze was just enough to remind us fall was coming and these two were the sweetest. Their intimate, family filled ceremony went off without a hitch and a few not so dry eyes. Keep scrolling to see lots of pretty from Laura and Jerry’s wedding day! From the natural beauty of the camp to the incredible food spread at the reception, it was a relaxed, beautiful day of celebrating a sweet couple in love.
