Sometimes life isn’t as beautiful as it looks in these photos. And I’m going to be honest for a second. The day before Kristen and Ben’s engagement session, I stood by my very best friend in this world as she lived through what will undoubtedly always be one of the hardest days of her life. My heart was a wreck. As I drove across town to Ben’s family’s farm, I doubted my decision not to ask them to reschedule. I doubted my ability to show up for this sweet couple in the way they deserved. Physically, emotionally…I just felt bad. And then I got there. I looked around and I finally met these two in person. For the next two hours it all disappeared. Turns out, spending the evening with these sweet souls what exactly what my heart needed.

Now let’s talk about them! Kristen and Ben… your sweet, genuine  love for one another is literally contagious. It is truly a joy just to be in your presence and an honor to capture this season in your story. It takes about .2 seconds to feel how in love with each other they are. It’s heart warming and beautiful and I just loved getting to know them a little better (and their sweet, camera loving pup!) Kristen, I’m so glad you finally went to that game night. And that you accepted the mustache was a part of your future 🤪

After just a short time with Kristen and Ben, I am already dreaming of their big day in October. I just know it’s going to be beautiful, romantic and full of their sweet and bubbly love for each other! Every love story is beautiful but I think theirs is something really special. I am so thankful that I get to be a part of it!
