Marie + Doug | Married | Carrollton, GA Wedding

I’ve always heard that some people are just meant to keep coming back into your life. I feel like Marie is perfect example of that! We first met when she and her siblings started attending the same school that I went to, somewhere around middle school. We went our separate ways a time or two, went years without speaking or seeing each other but somehow, over and over, we kept crossing paths. When she contacted me early this year about photographing her wedding, I was over the moon excited. From the moment I met Doug at their engagement session and got to see how these two interacted with each other, I knew two things. I was so happy to see an old friend and to be invited to share in and capture this exciting time in her life. And Doug and Marie were perfectly made for each other. These two were an absolute dream to work with. Their love is so evident anytime they are around each other and their energy is contagious. As I chose photos for this post, I just fell in love with their wedding day all over again!  From the giant smile on Doug’s face when he sees his bride for the first time to the laughs shared throughout the day, their wedding day was perfection!

It is so evident that family means so much to these two. Words really can’t describe how incredible it was to see the bride’s entire family come together to transform this reception hall into a wedding dream! So much thought was put into each and every detail, making this day so special for this sweet couple. I walked into a bustling kitchen the morning of the wedding to grab flowers for photos and her mom told me how she had done all of the floral arrangements herself. What?! These flowers were stunning, probably some of my favorite I’ve photographed and a perfect complement to the bride’s fall color palate. Marie carried her grandfather’s rosary, wrapped carefully around her bouquet.  In a heartwarming moment before the ceremony, she assured her grandmother that he was there with them in spirit.
