A change of plans can be a beautiful thing. When Sydney told me they had decided to downsize and have a backyard wedding, I really had no idea what I would be walking into. But let me just say, it was a flawless day. Sunshine, fall weather, an awesome group that was so much fun to work with. And with a back yard like this one, Sydney and Cole would have been crazy not to get married in this very spot. The moment I walked around the house and saw the arbor her dad made for them and that stunning view, I knew exactly why they chose this spot.
It was one of those days that just felt effortless. It was the most laid back kind of day and everyone was just having fun. One nice thing about having a small, intimate wedding is that you cut down on a lot of the typical wedding day stressors. But even with a small wedding, the focus was still just where it needed to be. Sydney and Cole incorporated the memories of their loved ones who couldn’t be present, even Sydney’s sweet dog. They took the time to read their vows privately in a moment just for the two of them and it was probably the sweetest part of the whole day. They planned and pulled off a beautiful wedding and had the best time doing it!
I am so grateful I was welcomed in to capture this special day full of love and intention. It was one for the books!
